Catering Staff - Chefs, Servers, Shuckers

Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:

  • Hiring on a per-event basis.

  • Must have prior catering experience with full knowledge of lobster cooking, cracking & service.

  • Shucking experience is not required but could help with more event bookings.

  • Valid & clean drivers license required as candidates may be required to drive company vehicles to events.

Kitchen Manager

Fjord Fish Market & Catering is hiring for a Kitchen/Catering Manager to run the kitchen of our primary location in Cos Cob (Greenwich), CT. Fjord Fish Market has six markets in CT & NY, specializing in the highest end seafood available on the East Coast. 

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to: 

  • Previous kitchen management is required. 
  • Daily preparation of bulk recipes, prepared foods & take-out. 
  • Weekly fulfillment of kitchen orders for satellite locations. 
  • Coordination of all in-store and off-site catering events. 
  • Maintaining current recipe standards and creating new menu items. 
  • Hiring & training of kitchen staff.

Part-Time

Fish Cutter

Location: Cos Cob, CT

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Set up and breakdown the seafood case

  • Completes all plate presentations per recipe/plate presentation specifications

  • Maintenance of all operational standards

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule including weekends & holidays

  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing for multiple hours and ability to carry and lift weights of up to 50 lbs.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Willingness and ability to learn about our products

  • Ability work in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • Ability to work with a flexible schedule including weekends & holidays

  • Ability to perform physical activities including standing for multiple hours and ability to carry and lift weights of up to 50 lbs.

  • Food Handler's License Preferred (not required)



Store Manager

As the store manager of our New Canaan location, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring that the customer service experience in the store is second to none. An upbeat and positive personality is the number one trait we are looking for in this role. Our customers are our #1 priority and we need to make sure they are treated like royalty when they come in to the store.

- Knowledge and passion for food. You will be dealing with the highest quality and freshest seafood available on the market. You should have the knowledge to be able to explain basic cooking methods and give advice and recommendations to customers on how to best prepare their seafood.

That's it! If you have a consistently positive personality and a passion and knowledge of food, we can teach you the rest.

Salary commensurate with experience and must have the ability to work weekends. We close at 7pm each night, so this is a great job for someone looking to get out of the late nights of the restaurant business.
